Long Highlights Another Broken Obamacare Promise, Stands Up for Life

U.S. Rep. Billy Long issued the following statement on the report released by the non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) showing taxpayer dollars have been used to fund abortion coverage:

"Today's stunning report from the non-partisan GAO confirms that the administration has been secretly planning to fund abortion with taxpayer money. This is a direct violation of a promise the president made to secure passage of his signature health care law. Earlier this year the House passed the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act. It is time for the Senate to take up this measure to hold the president accountable for the promises he made to the American people. I strongly oppose abortion and will continue to support efforts to reduce the number of abortions in this country, and that includes ensuring taxpayer dollars are not used to fund abortions."
